My hidden talent..,

Pictures

A camera couldn't take a picture
of the softness of your touch.
a camera couldn't reproduce,
the laugh of yours i love so much.
a picture couldn't make me feel,
the way I did in your arms.
a picture couldn't sweep me away,
the way you did with your charms.
Your picturer only makes me remember,
how much I wanted to stay.
This picture only reminds me
I love someone so far away.

Grandpa.., how i loved you so

A great Man;
It's now 2007,a new millenium,a time for new things and experiences,
but also something you deeply wished to live to see.
It's now been 25 years since you"ve left us.
You were someone we could all turn to,
for you always held your heart and hands open.
I sit and think of you night and day,
wondering and trying to understand why??
For I was 10 and it was xmas day.
You always understood us no matter what.
But as I have grown older,
I've begun to understand why you had to leave us,it was in god's time.
For in my eyes you were couragous, loving, understanding and i know happy.
You had great values that I am glad i inherited and am beginning to understand can make changes in this world.
I remember these words you would often tell me, forgiving is whatwe need not hatred.
You may be gone, but to me you're not because the memeory of you will live with me forever,
inside my heart,my mind and soul.
I miss you dearly,
Love your grandaughter

hopefully this summer

After 17 years Dad is back in my life, although sick.I wwould like to go home for a visit to see my sisters,Cher 19 and joyce 14.

Missing home..,

I have come to realize that in times of confusion and frustration I miss home more than ever.I don't blog for the whole world to read but to keep my family.., yes all the way to Australia informed about our life. As well as the people in our church and whoI care about. If someone comments they do if not oh well. I t won't stop me from blogging or reading the blogs i read or comment on as I care deeply for each person and their families. My family has just started to get close again over the last two years.Life is never easy and I don't expect it to be.I work hard when I can(injury),spend time with my family and friends for they are my pride and joy.I have a hard time relating to people.., who have come from a family whose parents are still together, not remarried(parents),being a teen mom, having siblings that are 21 years apart from you and one terminally ill.I know that every family has a story and has trials and tribulations. Some we never understand or will ever understand.I know that I am a very closed off person and I have walls but really who doesn't.I am normally a very happy, carefree person who lives life to the minute for i don't know what tommorrow will bring. Will I work again? If not what? Yes this is what I am living with right now,but i just think of my brother who hasn't walked in years and we have almost lost 4 times in the last 2 years.(19)I know that someone else's life out there is worse..,but really sometimes we have to walk in someone else's shoes to really understand. Blessings to everyone. trying to post you're all i have by snow patrol.love the song

Thinking of ending my blog..,,,,,

Maybe it is the weather, maybe it is my illness, neither one of us working right now,i don't know.I am beginning to think that i want to shut the world out as i just can't pull out of this nasty nasty feeling of emptyness, lonleyness and depression. My life is and world is crumbling all around me and all i can do is try to grab at any string.I know in time that this will pass, with alot of hard work for me.I don't think I have ever tried so hard to understand the bible as i keep rereading it.I can hardly walk, can't work which is not helping matters.I have one great person who comes to visit(you know who you are). But I can hardly wait till my bestfriend has her baby any day now. From behind my four walls.Maybe it's just a bad day..,yeah maybe

Hockey & Lacross

Which sport is more violent.., i don't know.I don't know but i tend to think hockey is rougher as of the game between Ottawa and Pittsburg. Look at the Canucks go.., awesome.Okay I really don't follow hockey, however it is a little hard during playoff time.I do have my own hockey heros though and my own two favorite teams. Other than that it is hockey in our house.

well i thought spring was here.., what happened?

Well not much has happened lately.Still pretty much house bound.., in fact company would be so nice, although I understand everyone is busy.Anyone interested or not sure what I have here is some info:

What is hip bursitis?
Hip bursitis is a common problem that causes pain over the outside of the upper thigh. A bursa is a fluid filled sac that allows smooth motion between two uneven surfaces. For example, in the hip, a bursa rests between the bony prominence over the outside of the hip (the greater trochanter) and the firm tendon that passed over this bone. When the bursal sac becomes inflamed, each time the tendon has to move over the bone, pain results. Because patients with hip bursitis move this tendon with each step, hip bursitis symptoms can be quite painful.
What causes hip bursitis?
Hip bursitis can be associated with different types of patients:

Athletes
Hip bursitis is commonly seen in runners or athletes who participate in running-oriented sports (e.g. soccer, football, etc.).
Injuries
Hip bursitis is sometimes associated with patients who fall onto their upper thigh, causing a so-called traumatic bursitis. The symptoms are similar to a hip pointer.

Post-surgical
Patients who have had surgery, such as hip fracture surgery, or total hip replacement, may complain of pain over the outside of the hip. These symptoms are often due to irritation to the bursa causing hip bursitis.
How is hip bursitis diagnosed?
The diagnosis of hip bursitis is made most reliably on physical examination. The most common symptoms of hip bursitis include:
Tenderness over the bony prominence of the upper/outer thigh

Swelling over the bursa
An x-ray is often obtained to ensure there are no bone spurs or calcifications that could be contributing to the problem. Occasionally, your doctor may obtain an MRI if the diagnosis is unclear or if the problem does not resolve with treatment.
What else can cause symptoms similar to hip bursitis?
As with any medical condition, other problems that can cause similar symptoms should be considered. Hip bursitis is usually a clear diagnosis, and the symptoms can be distinguished from other conditions. However, some cases of hip bursitis can be confused with other medical conditions.
What is the treatment of hip bursitis?
The best treatment for hip bursitis, or any form of bursitis, is aimed at controlling the inflammation caused by this condition. As with any treatment program, always talk with your doctor before initiating any specific treatments. The general treatment of hip bursitis consists of:
Rest
This usually means a period of time not participating in sports or activities that aggravate your symptoms. As a general rule of thumb, any activity that causes hip bursitis pain should be avoided--this only contributes to inflammation of the bursa.

Anti-inflammatory Medications
Anti-inflammatory medications (e.g. Motrin, Aleve, Naprosyn, etc.) will help control the inflammation associated with hip bursitis. These medications are helpful for the pain as well as diminishing inflammation.

Ice the Injury
Icing the area of hip bursitis often helps to alleviate the symptoms of hip bursitisEspecially after exercise, ice can control inflammation, and stimulate blood flow to the injured area.

Aspiration/Drainage of the Bursa
In some patients who have a significant amount of fluid that has collected within the bursa, a needle can be placed into the bursa to remove the fluid. This is rarely needed in cases of hip bursitis, but when it is done it may be combined with a cortisone injection.

Cortisone Injection
A cortisone injection may also be given into the bursa in patients with pain. The cortisone injection is helpful because it can be both diagnostic and therapeutic. In cases where hip bursitis may be one of several diagnoses being considered, cortisone can be given to see if the shot helps to alleviate symptoms.
Once the initial symptoms are controlled, some physical therapy strengthening and stretching exercises may be helpful.
Stretching
Most patients find relief with stretching of the muscles and tendons that are found over the outside of the hip, specifically the iliotibial band. The idea is that a better conditioned muscle and tendon will glide more easily and not cause hip bursitis. Special attention to proper stretching technique is important.

Physical Therapy
Working with a physical therapist is a useful treatment adjunct for patients with hip bursitis. Not only can the therapist help develop a proper stretching and exercise program, but they can use modalities such as ultrasound which may be helpful as well.
Is surgery ever necessary for hip bursitis?
Surgical treatment for hip bursitis is rarely needed, and most patients who are faithful about treatment get better within about six weeks. Patients who do not rest from their activities until the inflammation subsides often have a return of hip bursitis symptoms. Also, patients who return too aggressively (i.e. not a gradual build-up), may also find that their symptoms return.
In those few cases where surgery is needed, this can be done through a small incision, or sometimes it can be performed arthroscopically. Either way, the bursa is simply removed (called a bursectomy), and the patient can resume their activities. The surgery is done as an outpatient, and most often crutches are only used for a few days. Patient's do not need a bursa, and therefore there are few complications from this type of surgery. The most common complications are anesthetic-related complications, and infection.

The kids are doing great.Jordan's asthma is finally under control and he starts lacross soon.Samantha has a viral infection that has to go away by itself.however she is not contagious.Bill finds out on Monday about Camp but he is applying all up and down Vancouver Island, the kids and i will stay here till Samm is done school.

Some People..,Need forgiveness

Okay at work we have strict rules about buggies..,we even have announcements throughout the day the rules and safety of the buggies.Well today there was a gentleman that I had to ask him to have his teenage daughter remove her self out of the buggy.Well he told me to go away grumpy, then in front of other staff he threatened to kick my ass(sorry).Well Lucy from customer service heard some of it and asked me what he said so i repeated it to her,she took over and the result was he was told to leave as he had no reason to say what he did to me. We are there to serve people not be insulted or threatened.I have never been so shaken up.So I came home and prayed over the situation and thought what would Jesus do? One he would forgive him,so i did just that.

Colossians 3:12-14
As one who has been chosen of God,
holy and beloved,I will put on a heart of compasion, kindness, humility,
getleness,and patience,bearing
with others and forgiving others even as the Lord forgave
me;and above all these things,I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

Foundations Of Evolution
Acknowledging Your Growth
Since personal evolution is most often a slow and gradual process, it can be difficult to recognize the scope of the changes taking place in our lives. Yet it is important that we regularly acknowledge our ongoing growth and reward ourselves for the many wonderful feats of self-improvement we have accomplished. When we intentionally contemplate our progress, we need never feel that we are languishing between past achievements and the realization of future goals. If we look closely at our lives, we may see that much of what brings us pleasure in the present is representative of the ambitions of our past that we worked so hard to attain. At one time, the abundance we enjoy currently likely seemed like a far-off dream. Now it is simply reality-a reality we created through our diligence, passion, and unflagging determination. Whether our progress is fast or slow, we deserve to congratulate ourselves for our successes.

To remind yourself of the insights you have gained with time, temporarily adopt an outsider's perspective and carefully consider how your life in the present differs from the range of experiences you lived through in the past. Creating a written list, in a journal or otherwise, of those strengths, aptitudes, and inner qualities you now attribute to yourself can help you accept that you are not the same person you were one year ago, five years ago, or 10 years ago. Your attitudes, opinions, and values were likely markedly different, and these differences can be ascribed to your willingness to accept that you still have much to learn. If you have difficulty giving yourself credit for these changes, think about the goals you realized, the lives you touched, the wisdom you acquired, and the level of enlightenment you attained over the past years.

Recognizing growth is neither boastful nor immodest. Evolution is a natural fact of life and becomes a potent motivational force when celebrated. Knowing that you are brighter, stronger, and more grounded than you once were, you can look forward to the changes to come. In acknowledging your growth, you build a sturdy foundation upon which you can continue to blossom well into the future.

A Warm Refuge..,

February 12, 2007
A Warm Refuge
Best Friends
By the time we reach adulthood, many of us have had the good fortune to have at least one best friend. If we have moved around or changed our life situation repeatedly, we may be lucky enough to have had several. The best friend relationship is often our earliest intimate peer relationship, and it can be a source of great warmth and connection throughout our lives. The details of best friendship change as we grow up and grow older, but the heart of it remains the same. Our best friends are a warm refuge in which we feel free to be fully ourselves, to share our deepest secrets, to rest when we are tired, to celebrate when we are happy-a place in which we feel utterly welcome to give and receive that most precious of all gifts, love.

Most intimate relationships hit bumps from time to time, and one of the hallmarks of an enduring best friendship is its ability to ride out the turbulence and remain intact even as it faces changes. Our best friends are those who manage to love us through all of our transitions, as we do the same for them. We find ways to embrace and appreciate the differences that set us apart and offer love and support no matter what. We allow each other to be exactly as we are at a given moment, even as we allow each other to change over time. In this way, best friends sometimes feel like family. We know we will stick together regardless of where our individual paths lead.

We may be on the phone with our best friends every day, or we may not have spoken for a year, yet we know that our bond will be strong and immediate when we do connect. This bond ties us together even when we are apart and draws us blissfully back into the warm refuge of each other's company when our paths bring us together again. From a dear friend

Back in the E..R..,

Well yesterday Lynne and i got alot of little errands done like.,change of address. To back to the dr.s yeasterday to have jordan's ankle looked at,exrays on Monday for him.I on the other hand ended up back in the e.r. on an i.v. for my migraine, when we were done i thought they were going to take it out. They did but left the needle, cover and i.v. line in.After 24 hours my hand was free and so was my head for the first time in about three weeks. Now i just have to have to have exrays on my pelvis from my fall as they were unsure of the results.Which I also have to call my Mom to find out if i hurt my pelvis when I was litle. All in all everything is good..,just concentrating on getting Lynne all packed up and her place cleaned up. The 18th is coming fast.., so we need helpers who can pack anyone who can spare a few hours would be greatly appreciated.Well everyone have a great night..,blessing and love to all.

We made a dent!!!!!!

Well tonight we finally got off our duffs and started packing Lynne's place.We accomplished the living room.Next up the kitchen.So my migraine came back again today around 2p.m. resulting in going to the hospital again.., so sorry if this post is all scrambled up like eggs as the painkillers are sinking in fast.In fact I can barely keep my eyes open.I am so thank-ful that I actually get to see my Dr. tommorrow.Hopefully we can figure out what is triggering them besides my fall two weeks ago.I hope we can find something I can take once a day to get rid of them forever.Everyone else is doing okay,well Samm is tired but excited about her upcoming 17th bday on the 23rd.Can't believe my baby-girl is 17.Jordan has been home from school due to a bad sprain,which is getting checked tommorrow to.Bill seems to be coming down with a flu/cold not sure.We all have finally ajusted to our new place well all except Jord's cat Mayhem,boy what a set of lungs on that cat.He is used to being outside and we can't let him out yet(3 weeks).Jordan was playing with the camera in Lynn's car as i was running to my friends to return his mailroom key,as i don't have one yet and he took this pic.He told me look Mom it is your guardian angel.What do you think? I will leave with a favorite quote from Samm;
To the world you maybe one person,
but to one person you may be the world.
Phillipians 4:11-13
I want to learn to be content in whatever circumstances
I am in.Whether I am abased or in abundance,
whether I am filled or hungry,I want to learn the secret
of being content in any and every situation.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
blessings and love to all.

Tired oh so Tired...,

So I was thinking that i won't do a prayer for the day, every other day as I pray nightly to begin with.Although I will still keep posting scripture everyday. So with that said not much is happening within our house.I am still trying to recover my fall and trying to fight off the migraines which are being triggered from my fall,as well as being nauseous, dizzy and lack of sleep.Samm came home today with an awesome report card with two high B's,C+ and an A.Her socials teacher commented that I wish there were more students of your caliber, now how awseome is that.Oh and I can't forget the honorable mention.Jordan is doing well at school too.I was going through some things of Jordan's from kindergarten and i came across a binder of his best work. Now Jordan has dyslexia which makes learning for him a challenge. This is how he spelt his name then nadroj and to believe the arguements Bill and I have faced to get the schools to have him tested for it,wish I found it earlier. We could have been teaching him how to work with it and learn with it.Instead of arguing all these years with the educaters. So much lost time would not have been lost.Bill is doing okay just geting a litle anxious about getting to work, and waiting to see if when and his claim through EI will begin as camp will start for him from now until april 1st.So my scripture for the day is
Romans 12:12
I will rejoice in hope, persevere in affliction,
and continue steadfastly in prayer.
Blessing from our house to yours

So here we go one of my first pics taken with my new toy.Not much has been happening. We are pretty much settled in,didn't take as long as I thought it would.Although as usual i pushed myself too hard.I was suppossed to be and still to be taking it easy and resting so my head can heal and neck.So now it is my to return the favor and help to dear lynne.Did you hear she is moving yeppers no more mold and mildew.
Deuteronomy 32:3
I will proclaim the name of the Lord
and praise the greatness of my God.

Okay now to those who know me, know that i have a very hard time praying out of silence, but a dear friend said that she would enjoy my prayers for the day if they came from me.So with all my fear here goes..,
Dear Lord..,
I want to thank-you for all the blessings you have brought into my life.I pray for healing for Jordan's foot as it is getting worse.I pray for healing for my Dad and my brother.I pray for Samm to not be so critical of her amazing gift of drawing from God.I pray for peace with in Bill as he awaits his camp job to start.Last but not least I pray for comfort and peace and God's love to be wrapped upon all my friends and family. Amen.

Monkey Weather That is what this is!!!

One just has to love this kinda crazy weather.Okay well I do.I like the uncertainty of what will happen next.So I checked my work scheduls and i couldn't be happier.Lots of work for me however I can still make it to church,I am making a request to have Sundays off.I really don't like missing church at all.Although when i close the night befroe then church and then close that night I just don't have the energy at all.Now I know to those of you who are reading this would say it is the enemy and that is exactly where he wants me.However sometimes I have to listen to my body. With that said I am having lots of fun with God's new toy(camera).

John 13:34-34
You have given us a new commandment to love
one another even as You have loved us;so we must love
one another.By this all men will know that we are
Your Disciples,if we have love for one another.

Prayer:
Lord,I am awed by Your majesty and
humbled by Your infinite love for me.I thank
You that You will perfect me in Christ Jesus,so
I may demonstrate Your mercy and love to others.
I ask You to help me extend Your love to my
family,my friends, and to all those I meet today.

Something New I am going to try..,A prayer a day ..,

So I am wondering if anyone would like to pick a Spanish course with me the next time it is avaiable. Why you might ask ..,we are spanish. So today's prayer

Welcome to February!!!!

I am so ecxited, okay i know i shouldn't be but my xmas present finally came in yeppers.(material things),which is why i shouldn't be so excited.I am now the proud new owner of a digital camera. All I need is a memory card.Oh it is the sony cybershot and it is amazing. We are pretty much all settled in now.Which makes going back to work on Sat that much easier, although we will see how long i last pretty heavy painkillers.I just should have listened to Bill when he told me to take it easy, because I sure felt sick and offkey today.Latley I have been worried about Bill, everyone knows he came home as I became sick, well still am.However all he seems to want to do is sleep,I am scared he is falling into depression,he is feeling lost as he is waiting to go to camp March,so please pray for him,Thank-you.He keeps telling me not to worry as he is in God's hands and is okay.I told him I feel awful about him coming home and he said you didn't ask i did what i did because God and I talked and I prayed then I came home. You are my wife so it is all good. You took care of me without question, doubt. One or two more days and our house will be finished. Then I will be ready to start socializing again and have people over.I'm so excited. This pic is one that Samm took.I leave you with this video that I love it is Bon Jovi..,Welcome to where ever you are.Night All

Just the change i was looking for something bright and bubbly.Thank-you Lynne you work miracles. So as everyone knows we are now officially moved and loving our new place.Well an update my soft tissue injury as now been confirmed as a serious concusion and may take up to three months to heal.I am not allowed to lift, cook ,clean but just rest, for me that is impossible.I loved what Thomas spoke of as that was somehting I really needed to hear again,it touched my heart in soo many ways.Especially about not wanting or needing to measure up to everyone else.I have slid so far back, however not anymore.I would love to be back in the nursery, and teaching again.I found it such a blessing and it brings such joy to me.Yesterday we had a bit of a different day as Lynne and I went and visited Char,i had a blast.Something I really feel called to do is more fellowship and involvement.Blessings everyone love from our family to yours

struggling

I can honestly say I am at a point in my life where I am struggling medically, physically.I know it sounds dumb as i know how much we mean to Bill, however i didn't realize it fully till he came home as i have been in and out of the hospital,i have swelling in the front part of my head and my neck and spine. That is why i haven't been around much i just don't have the energy, not because i don't care or love you guys dearly.I have such a hard time opening up for fear of judgement.I come from divorced grandparents, two half uncles one my age the other a few years younger. All but my aunt on my dad's side(5) are all on their second marriages, dad married my bestfriend resulting in my two sisters, whom i love with all my heart. On my mom's side(9)only my two aunts are not divorced and my two uncles who died from what my brother has.I left home at 16 due to my stepdad(yes bad). The relationship my mom and i had is gone but i have faith it will work out in the end. Then here i am in the mix i am 34 with a 16 years old and 12 year old two different dad's and yet i married someone completly different. For years i kept on thinking what have i done, i believe everything happens for a reason.I always thought i was a really bad person as i thought God was punishing me .Now i know it was God's plan for me to see that I was going in the wrong dircetion.Bill told me that he just loves the changes in the kids and how God has grabbed hold of them, but the big change in how I can now honestly say it is not in my hands and God will provide,For the first time in my life I am becoming the fun loving carefree person I used to love.

A new song I stumbled upon

To Move Or Not To ..,that is the question today..,?

Well things are going great for Bill and his new job...,posing this question,Tanya I love you and miss you all will you consider moving out here I don't want to spend another night without my family?Wow..,Bill believes this is the opportunity of a lifetime for him..,so do I.I will say that I never thought I would be missing him soo much in such a short time.I am all about sacrificing everything for his carrer as he has done for me.However I have no idea what I should do.I like the kids have never lived outside B.C.That is so scary to me.Samm also only has a year and a bit before she heads off to U.N.B.C.Jordan wants to move to be by Daddy as long as we come back to visit. This has been vwery hard on Jordan. He is always praying for the same thing everynight.., Dear God please bring my family back together soon..,he worries that we are breaking up..,which isn't even apart of this at all.Oh and did I mention Bill works in Kindersley,Sask.Work is also going great for me,I can thankfully transfer to Walmart there as it opens on the 25th of this month. When I decide what to do after seeking god's guidance through this as I know I can not make this decision without..,we will be selling alot of furniture..etc just thought I would post(in case).

Wow...,Busy Busy...,

Now that the holidays are all wrapped up,I found it quite hard to settle back into a routine. With the kids back in school, my work and Bill away for work I struggled to find a balance.I was ready to break till one of my dearest friends came over to offer advice and I must admit she is a miracle worker. So far no more pulling my hair out.Samm has been so awesome with helping out, like tonight she made porkchops and a rice medley for her and Jord, left me a plate in the microwave, picked up the house, tucked Jord into bed.I am so proud of her that I am beaming.Jordan is also being great by listening to Samm, cleaning up after himself and doing his homework(which is a blessing in itself).I am so proud of both of them.It makes me happy to think that even with how much those to fight and argue just how well they can get along.Bill is doing great in Sask,he is finally settling in to his new job,one small setback no snow and it is so flat there.Work is going great for me to.I actually am haivng a great time working there.I can honestly say I have had a rough week emotionally but I find myself thinking okay, now what can I do to better things and I seem to say to myself life is good right now, yeah that it is.

I found this interesting..., sorry I didn't catch the author

Getting Back To Wellness
Seven Quick Fixes To Feel Better
The signals our bodies use to tell us we need to cleanse ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally are multifaceted and often mirror symptoms we associate with illness. If we heed these signs, we not only feel better quickly but also stave off poor health before it can start. These quick fixes for common ailments can get you started.

1. Applying pressure to the acupressure point between the thumb and forefinger can release blockages causing pain, tension, and fatigue. You can relieve a headache naturally by squeezing for 20 seconds and releasing for 10 seconds, without letting go, four times.

2. To breathe freely, irrigate your nasal passages with a neti pot and warm salt water. As you clear and soothe the sinuses, congestion associated with allergies or infection will gradually disappear.

3. Apple cider vinegar is a powerful purifying and detoxifying agent. Soaking for 20 minutes in a warm bath infused with two cups of apple cider vinegar pulls toxins from the body and can clear blocked energy.

4. The foods you eat can have a profound impact on your outlook and mood. Eating a small yet satisfying meal rich in complex carbohydrates can lift your spirit and help you let go of feelings of anger, irritability, and depression.

5. Anxiety and fear dissipate quickly when countered with conscious breathing because concentrating on the breath enables you to refocus your attention inward. You can ground yourself and regain your usual calm by taking a series of deep belly breaths as you visualize your feet growing roots that stretch miles down into the earth.

6. Though tuning out can seem counterproductive, a few minutes spent lost in daydreams or listening to soothing music can help you see your circumstances from a new angle when you feel frustrated.

7. If you feel ill health coming on, brew a wellness elixir. Simmer three sliced lemons, one teaspoon freshly grated ginger, one clove freshly minced garlic, and one quarter teaspoon cayenne pepper in five cups water until the lemons are soft and pale. Strain a portion into a mug and add honey by tablespoons until you can tolerate the taste. Drinking this potent mixture of antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal ingredients three times each day can ensure your symptoms never progress into a full-blown illness.
What do you think?
